The most senior Democrat in the Ohio House is reportedly set to plead guilty to campaign finance charges and resign his seat. Statehouse correspondent Karen Kasler reports. Ron Gerberry of the Youngstown area will admit to unlawful compensation related to misdemeanor campaign finance irregularities, according to the Youngstown Vindicator. And the paper is also reporting that Gerberry will resign his seat and will also agree not to run for elected office for the next seven years. Sources are telling the paper that Gerberry is accused of overpaying several vendors and then getting much of that money back as a refund. The 62 year old Gerberry, a Democrat of Austintown, has served in the House for 27 years - he was first appointed to the House in 1982, and left briefly because of term limits in 2000. He was appointed to the House again in 2007 and was re-elected twice.
