Gusts of 30 miles per hour and stronger are expected through tonight, and the National Weather Service says wind chills around Lake Erie can reach 10 below zero.
All across Greater Cleveland, snow plows, snow blowers, and utility crews are working around the clock, keeping things rolling as best they can. The RTA says delays are expected with bus lines through the evening.
The entire region is under a winter storm watch until late tonight, and a winter weather advisory is also in effect until tomorrow morning.
Between four to six inches of snow are expected, though some areas could see snowfall totals reach a foot.
More than 40 flights at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are either delayed or cancelled, so travelers are advised to check flight statuses ahead of time.
