In late July, police found three bodies wrapped in trash bags in East Cleveland -- one hidden in a garage, another in a nearby empty lot and a third in the basement of a vacant house.
The victims were identified as Shetisha Sheeley, Angela Deskins and Shirellda Terry, three women who had gone missing. Michael Madison was arrested and charged in connection with their deaths. He pleaded not guilty.
The capital review committee in Prosecutor Timothy McGinty's office set out to examine whether Madison could be sent to death row if convicted. It has now determined that he can.
A grand jury has now re-indicted Madison for murder, with new specifications that could warrant the death penalty if he is found guilty.
Madison is scheduled to be back in court for his arraignment on October 31.
