Ariel Castro Accepts Guilty Plea Deal, Will Serve Life Without Parole

During his court appearance, Castro said when he first got arrested, he told authorities that he was willing to work with the FBI and tell them everything.

When Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge asked Castro whether or not he understood all of the rights he waived by pleading guilty, Castro said he understood. He also said he knew he was going to get the book thrown at him.

Castro is accused of holding three women captive in his home on Cleveland’s west side for about a decade. He faces an amended 937 counts, including kidnapping, rape and aggravated murder for allegedly causing one of the women to miscarry a pregnancy.
