Last Monday, a frantic woman named Amanda Berry called 9-1-1, to say she and her six-year-old girl escaped Castro’s home. Police arrived and freed two other women, Michelle Knight and Gina DeJesus, then arrested Castro.

Cleveland’s Director of Safety, Marty Flask, says investigators have finished removing evidence from Castro’s home. He dismissed accounts about rumored sightings of Castro with his captives.

“There is no evidence to indicate that any of them were ever outside in the yard in chains, without clothing, or any other manner.”

But authorities say the women only went out twice during their decade-long ordeal, and that was to go to Castro’s garage.

Castro is expected to be arraigned in court today.
