Audio Expert Explains Finding Sound of Altercation, Shots on Archive Kent State Shooting Tape

New analysis was released today of an audio recording made at Kent State in 1970 when the National Guard shot anti-war protesters, killing four and wounding nine others. Commissioned by The Plain Dealer, the analysis may provide more understanding of what happened about a minute BEFORE the Guard opened fire. ideastream's Mhari Saito spoke with forensic audio expert Stuart Allen, who talked us through a critical piece of the tape. It reveals a fight in the area of the protestors and four pistol shots. Warning: expletives are referred to, though not actually used, in the tape.
