The former Chrysler Plant in Twinsburg has a new owner.
At an auction in New York, a bid of 45-point-five million dollars was accepted for presentation to a bankruptcy court judge Thursday.
The Plain Dealer reports the liquidation company Maynards Industries bought the plant for just over 45-million dollars. Proceeds from the sale will be used to pay the automaker's creditors.
The city is hoping that the new owner will want to find a new manufacturer to move in. But the company says it's considering all of its options including selling off valuable parts of the plant in pieces.
