Over the past month, the remains of eleven women were discovered in and around the home of 50-year-old Anthony Sowell. On Tuesday, County prosecutor Bill Mason issued an 85-count indictment against the registered sex offender.
BILL MASON: Sowell preyed upon vulnerable females by luring them into his house. Once inside, he tormented them, threatened them, and assaulted them. He murdered eleven of them.
In addition to the murder charges, Sowell has been indicted on multiple counts of kidnapping, abuse of a corpse, attempted murder and rape. He's currently being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail on a six million dollar bond, where Sheriff Bob Reid reports he's been a model prisoner
BOB REID: He's had no visitation other than his attorney, although we've had a number of requests for visitation. He has declined them all.
The County Prosecutor expects the Sowell case to come to trial in six months to a year. He plans to seek the death penalty
