A federal appeals court says Ohio's new identification requirements for absentee ballots should stand. The ruling yesterday by the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overruled a lower court's decision to suspend the state's new ID law as it pertains to people voting absentee. Now a federal judge is set to hear more arguments today about a different part of the identification law. The ID law was aimed at solving voting problems that erupted during the 2004 presidential election. But some Ohioans think the new law itself is causing more problems than it's solving.
