It’s been over three months since Hurricane Maria plummeted Puerto Rico, leaving a trail of destruction. Experts remain worried about the long-term impact of the storm on mental health. Studies about Hurricane Katrina found increases in mental illness rates more than a year after the disaster. With hundreds of Puerto Ricans now resettling in Northeast Ohio, local agencies are preparing to meet the mental health needs of the storm survivors. Be Well reporter Lecia Bushak reports.
