Imagine a beautiful, vibrant, accessible Cleveland waterfront. Sounds nice, right? John Campbell, President & CEO of Waterfront Toronto, is making that image a reality in Toronto. He will discuss his organization's massive project to redevelop 1,977 acres of land that aims to create roughly 40,000 new residences and 40,000 new jobs in the next 25 years.

Waterfront Toronto is building the largest urban revitalization project in North America, bringing together the most innovative approaches to sustainable development, excellence in urban design, real estate development, leading technology infrastructure and the delivery of important public policy objectives.

What the waterfront can be is being rethought, reimagined and redefined, working to create a world model for urban space. Priorities for Waterfront Toronto are simple: put people first and reconnect them with the waterfront, emphasize parks and public spaces, and design in a way that’s environmentally and economically sustainable.

The new blue edge is where the city meets the water. Previously underused and unappreciated space, it will now become a priceless public asset, accessible to everyone.
