Just before 8am Sunday, December 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy Service attacked the US Naval Base in Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this hour-long documentary, WAMC’s Alan Chartock speaks with Dr. Ivan Steen and Dr. Ann Pfau who guide Alan through a series of audio clips that document how Americans heard the news of Pearl Harbor over their radios.
