For more than 2500 athletes from around the world, the chance to compete on a global stage became reality last month at the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games, held in Austria. One of those athletes-- twenty-six-year-old Sharita Taylor, who has autism. The Cleveland native - and the only Ohioan to compete - represented Team USA in the figure skating and ice dancing competitions. Not only did she represent, she won a bronze medal in ice dancing and a sixth place ribbon in figure skating singles.
