Last Friday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions unceremoniously told the remaining 46 Obama-appointed U.S. attorneys to resign. Among them was Carole Rendon, who for the past year has headed the Northern District of Ohio. She worked in the U.S. Attorney's Office since 2009. It is common for U.S. Attorneys to be replaced by new administrations, so the departure didn't exactly come as a surprise. Carol Rendon talked with Rick Jackson about her tenure.

The 2nd Annual Cleveland Humanities Festival - presented by Case Western Reserve University - got underway this week. The 2017 theme is immigration, aimed at addressing the impact of having people from different countries move to the United States. As a part of the festival, Literary Cleveland will host the program Crossing Borders: Immigrant Narratives.
