Since roughly the turn of the century, the Reverend Tracey Lind has been a part of Cleveland's religious fabric – serving as dean of the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, not far from here along Euclid Avenue.
But she sensed her mission was to become a leader for religious life and more --- beyond those walls -- and her church's extension has benefitted many people since.
So it was a surprise to all in December; when Reverend Lind announced she was stepping down, until we learned that it was a decision being forced by a serious health situation.
Reverend Lind allowed us to visit her West Side home Friday - where she candidly discussed her past, her future, and the illness that has changed this native Ohioans' plans... as a minister, yes, but also as a planner, author, supporter of environmental advancements and of her adopted home town.
