Leading up to the November 7, 2017 general election, The City Club of Cleveland will be featuring conversations on Ohio ballot measures.
Proponents argue that the bill would save taxpayers up to $400 million; opponents disagree with the savings amount and argue it would increase prescription drug prices for those with private insurance. Despite ample advertising from both sides, a recent independent survey showed that a majority of Ohio voters do not understand the ballot measure.
In this debate, Dale Butland, spokesperson for Ohioans Against the Deceptive RX Issue, and Dennis Kucinich, spokesperson for Ohio Taxpayers for Lower Drug Prices, outline Issue 2 and its implications for Ohio voters.
This debate is moderated by WKYC Senior Health Correspondent Monica Robins.
