What's at Stake in the Ohio Legislature in 2018
Much of the attention this election season in Ohio has been on the Congressional mid-term's as well as the race for governor. But in addition to the four other executive branch races statewide in 2018, there are a lot of races in the state legislature.
To help you make sense of the current balance of power, who's running for re-election in the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate, we've put together a couple of maps which can connect you with the basics.
Every seat in the Ohio House is up for election. Republicans currently hold a 66-33 majority in the House. In the following map, districts currently held by Republicans are shown in red, districts held by Democrats, in blue. When you click on any one district in the Googlemap below, you'll get a rundown of the basic information for the district, including the current voter registration tally.

In the Ohio Senate, half the seats are up for election this year (the odd-numbered districts.) Republicans currently hold a 23-9 majority. One seat is vacant. The following Google map shows only the districts that are currently up for election.
