It’s one of most anticipated events of the year in Summit County — the annual State of the County address. On Wednesday, Oct.1, 2025, County Executive Ilene Shapiro will deliver her annual address at the John S. Knight Center in Akron. She’s expected to review the progress of the past year, the challenges the county has faced and what lies ahead.
