Graduates from across the country are setting out on a new journey. These students spent their school years learning in the pandemic, experiencing the introduction of AI, and are facing a quickly changing world.

So what’s the next move? Older generations have some advice.This year, actor Tom Hanks spoke at Harvard University, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at Johns Hopkins University, and CBS Mornings News Anchor Gayle King spoke at the University of Maryland.

A commencement speech is supposed to be motivating while giving some guidance.What really is the best advice for those with exciting – and maybe frightening – opportunities ahead of them? Can words ever suffice? And what is the best way to conquer challenging life transitions?

For that we turn to three people who have been tasked with the job.
