Two former political enemies have come together for a project that seeks to put financial information online from governments, schools and other public entities from all across the state. Statehouse correspondent Karen Kasler reports.

The 2010 treasurer's race was so bitter, some newspapers refused to endorse either incumbent Democrat Kevin Boyce or the eventual winner, Republican Josh Mandel.
Since his re-election last year, Mandel's been pushing ohiocheckbook.com, a site that's intended to host the expenditure records of public entities around Ohio. And Mandel says Boyce came to Toledo to join him for the announcement that the Toledo Public Schools have now agreed to put their checkbook on the site.
"Government transparency is not a partisan issue," said Mandel.
Boyce, who's a graduate of the University of Toledo and is now a state representative in Columbus, says he's fully behind Mandel on this issue.
"I think it's a big statement when you see two former opponents agree on something," said Boyce.
Mandel says his goal is to see expenditure data from all 3,900 local governments on the site.
