CLEVELAND, OH --June 11, 2014-- The Music Settlement invites families from Ohio City, Tremont, Lakewood and beyond to attend a free Grand Opening celebration at the Bop Stop, 2920 Detroit Ave., Ohio City 44113, on Sunday, July 13 between 2:00-5:00 p.m.
"Ever since we accepted the donation of the Bop Stop, we have been asking community members on the near-West side how we can best serve their music instruction, music therapy, and early childhood education needs," said Charles Lawrence, president of The Music Settlement. "We look forward to hosting a festival for our new neighbors and learning more of their ideas, while sharing some of our own."
The event will feature performances, children's activities, face-painting, and more. Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks Barrio and Frank's Bratwurst. Free parking will be available both on the street and at the Steelman Building lot at 2885 Detroit Ave.
"Our Grand Opening will be our opportunity to thank everyone for their warm welcome, while also sharing our plans for programming during the upcoming school year," Lawrence said.
