Matthew Cullen is president of Rock Gaming, which will operate the casino. He says the dealers' jobs are well paying.
"$35,000 to $40,000 with full benefits," says Cullen. "So they're nice jobs, people can take care of their families with. Gratuities and other things as well. We'll be open before the end of March in 2012, so it's an exciting time for us."
Cullen figures about 95% of the new casino workers will come from the Cleveland metro area. The new gambling operation will be called Horseshoe Casino.
The company is also building a casino in Cincinnati. It's set to open in the spring of 2013.
Ohio voters in 2009 approved the idea of four gambling casinos, for Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Toledo.
