Secretary Of State Wants To Increase Number Of Young Voters

Ohio’s Secretary of State, Jon Husted, says more of Ohio’s youngest citizens need to exercise their right to vote.

"And they should be actively involved in understanding the issues and understanding what the impacts of government decisions are on their lives and then actively involved in choosing the candidates that are best reflecting what their vision and desire is for their country," Husted says.

Husted has begun an outreach program to explain the importance of voting to young voters. And for those who are not old enough to vote yet, Husted has launched an initiative that allows they to vote for the design for the next sticker that will be handed out to all voters on Election days.
