Clevelanders are tops when it comes to borrowing library books, and number five in the nation for eating left-overs. Overall, a recent study ranks Cleveland the 16th least wasteful of the 25 largest U.S. cities.

That's Eric Hansen. His company contacted 3,700 people about their shopping habits, how often they re-use products and the way they use transportation to figure each city's sustainability number. San Francisco took first, Atlanta came in last and Pittsburgh - the nearest Midwestern city in the study - placed 14th... two notches above Cleveland.
One way Clevelanders conserve is by buying energy saving light bulbs, but the survey indicated we could do better at turning off the lights when not in use.
