The fire which closed Lorain County Community College in Elyria Wednesday will keep day and night classes from meeting for the rest of this week.
The blaze, which began in the basement of the Business Building, caused an evacuation, but all faculty, staff, and students were safely evacuated and the campus was closed.
There are several thousand students on the LCCC campus for evening classes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by fire officials, who estimate that damage will exceed $1,000,000.
The school has released the following schedule.
The LCCC Main Campus will be CLOSED on Thursday and Friday. All day and evening classes canceled.
Other LCCC learning centers in Lorain, Elyria, Wellington and Midpoint Campus in Brunswick will be OPEN. IVDL classes at these locations will NOT be available.
The Stocker Arts Center will be CLOSED on Thursday and Friday. Friday's performances of "The Silent Boy" have been canceled.
The Spitzer Conference Center will be CLOSED on Thursday and OPEN on Friday.
The Center for Leadership in Education (CLE) is OPEN.
