At a campaign stop in Vienna, Ohio, Palin said she would have three primary roles in a new administration. Palin would lead energy security-promoting competition in oil markets and advocating new drilling.
Palin would also lead government reform efforts, encouraging that federal spending be posted online.
PALIN: We're going to bring that kind of openness to Washington. Hasn't been done there before, but, again, that's the reason we're going to DC. We want to shake things up.
Palin also said she would ensure government is on the side of families with special needs children.
It's the economy, though, that's dominating the campaign trail so far this week. At the same stop, McCain said greed and corruption were at the root of the current financial crisis and he promised reforms. Meanwhile, the Barack Obama campaign said McCain and Republicans deserved much of the blame.
