Preliminary data from a state evaluation indicates that the Cleveland school district could drop in official ranks to the "academic watch" category which is like getting a passing grade but barely. Schools CEO Eugene Sanders will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. to discuss the setback. It comes after last year's rating of "continuous improvement," the equivalent of a grade of "C." On the plus side, the new data indicates that more students graduate from high school than ever this year, nearly 62 %.
