The four new board members will be sworn in Monday - less than 24 hours before the election. It's a relatively small election but interim director Jane Platten says, a significant one.
Almost 2,900 poll workers will be working the 168 polling locations from Bay Village to Solon. There's no voting in the city of Cleveland this election. New rules require redundancies in checking machines and keeping track of memory cards. Platten says she stays awake at night worrying about the unknowns, but she remains optimistic.
The Board of elections has tested their optical scan ballots repeatedly and sent them to Election machine maker Diebold to test. Jane Platten says they've come back 100% accurate.
