Yesterday was the deadline for college juniors to announce whether they would make themselves available for the NFL draft and Ohio State suffered some losses. Cleveland Glenville High School speedster Ted Ginn, Jr. will leave school early. He did not hold a press conference but his father told the Plain Dealer that going to the NFL was the best financial decision for him. Buckeyes running back Antonio Pittman said it was also the best financial decision for him and his five-month-old daughter. He said at his Alma Mater, Akron's Buchtel High School, that he was passing the torch to another Akron running back at OSU, Chris Wells. Last week, the Buckeye's highly-touted junior wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez of St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland said he wanted to return to school but could not pass up a predicted early round choice in the NFL draft. Juniors have until Friday to change their minds.
