Pictures of a glass and metal building were displayed on a big white screen. And a conference-table full of architects peered closely, peppering the presenters with questions.

Jerry Rothenberg an architect and chair of the Euclid Corridor Design Review committee says he has big expectations for the building. It's being designed by the world-renowned architect Lord Norman Foster's firm from London.

"We have to make sure that this building is going to go in right, it's going to have a great appearance and we just want it to fit in with the rest of the campus and have the proper function," Rothenberg says.

The rectangular building will hold four institutions, including the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine. And it's going up in a highly visible spot - between Euclid and Chester Avenues.

Cost estimates have not been released for the project. Groundbreaking is expected in the spring.
