Ohio Executes Man For 1982 Murders At Cleveland State University

The state has executed the man convicted of killing three people, over several weeks in 1982, on the Campus of Cleveland State University.
The one time self-proclaimed Nazi was convicted in the shooting spree that targeted Black men. Frank Spisak was pronounced dead at 10:34 Thursday morning, following a lethal injection.

Ken Robinson, a reporter for W-T-A-M in Cleveland witnessed the execution. In an interview wtih Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles, Robinson explains that reporters were unable to understand Spisak's last words.

Spisak had been on death row for more than 27 years. He was the last inmate to be put to death in Ohio using the one chemical injection of sodium thiopental. That drug has become so scarce that future executions will involve using two drugs that are more readily available.
