Nearly every statewide candidate from the two major political parties has appeared on this show in the last six weeks. This week, the chairmen of the two major political parties talk about the campaigns and the candidates. Last year the chairmen appeared for the first time on a broadcast together, and it was a spirited and sometimes vitriolic discussion. This time, the chairmen appeared in separate interviews. First up is Chris Redfern, a state representative who’s chaired the Ohio Democratic Party since 2005. Then, Matt Borges, the chair of the Ohio Republican Party, elected in 2012 to take over from former chair Bob Bennett, who stepped in after Kevin DeWine was ousted in an intra-party shakeup in 2011.
