The Katy is an indie trio fronted by Memphis-born songwriter, vocalist and bassist Cathalyn and featuring Cleveland natives Ashanti Allison on the drums and Eli Hanley on keyboards. The Katy formed in the summer of 2016 and have a loose, free style of play that they describe as "post guitar grunge rock". The band is a 2020 Panza Foundation awardee.
