Great Lakes Micro Pollution; Property Valuations; Statehouse Update

Plastic, tons of it in tiny particles, floats around in Lake Erie, where concentrations are as high as some ocean pollution. Twenty-two million pounds of plastic flows into the Great Lakes each year. Everything from water bottles to packaging to straws to microbeads in some cosmetic products contributes to the problem. It's the topic of the 2018 State of the Great Lakes forum at the City Club.   Dr. Sherri Mason shares her research on Great Lakes microplastic pollution. Later, property values in Cuyahoga County are riding a wave as valuations are up significantly in most communities. It's delivering sticker-shock in some. What can a homeowner do if the valuation seems too high?
