There are new concerns about the future health of Lake Erie and the rest of the Great Lakes because of possible funding cuts being considered by the Trump administration. The President's budget -- details of which were leaked -- reportedly would slash funding in the U-S Environmental Protection Agency, and the part of the EPA budget for Great Lakes health initiatives would be drastically cut, taking it from $300 million to just $10 million.
