Scientists say there are about 185 invasive species living in the Great Lakes, and a new one arrives every eight months. The US Congress now has a plan to fight them. There are a couple of hurdles, though--the Senate and a threatened presidential veto. On the Sound of Ideas, we'll talk about the feasibility of fighting invasive species by changing basic shipping practices. And we'll find out if it's going to be enough to head off any future invaders...such as killer shrimp. You're invited to join us Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock.
