This week, we asked you to tell us what winter business you would start. Here are some of your creative ideas!
Zach, Berea-Midpark Middle School in Middleburg Heights: I would love to start a snow cone shop. My business would be called The Corner Snow Cone Machine. I would sell snow cones made of real Ohio snow. I would put the snow in a purifier so it is clean. Our specialty would be the triple scoop Lake Effect Cone. Come give the Corner Snow Cone Machine a try.
Gabriel, Columbus Gifted Academy in Columbus: A big shopping mall! Well, not that big, but with Holiday-related things for people with different traditions like Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa. Kids and parents can buy certain things in different aisles of the mall, including natural and artificial trees, unbreakable non-glass ornaments, solar lights, sleds, Christmas wreaths, Hanukkah menorahs, Kwanzaa mishumaa sabas, and winter clothes like knitted hats, coats, and mittens. It also could contain a restaurant with hot foods like soup, and Holiday foods like porridge, cookies and Bûche de Nöel (the Christmas Log). This is a business I would start in my community!
Delia, Grant Elementary in Lakewood: I could start a business were I could go in my front yard for a bake sale. In the bake sale I would sell treats, and whenever somebody bought a treat I would offer them a free cup of hot chocolate. The reason that I would give free hot chocolate is that more people would buy my product to get a treat and free hot chocolate. All the money that I would get I would donate to the bees, because the bees are dying out and you may think that they are annoying, they actually pollinate a lot of are fruits, and we wouldn't want the fruits to go bye bye. Even though there are other pollinators than bee's, but bees are the most pollinators.
Joshua, Woodland Elementary School in Liberty Township: If I could create any winter business I would create a basketball VR. I would create that because some kids might love basketball and they might be disabled and they can't play. Also basketball is a winter sport.
Avery, Crestview Middle School in Brunswick: I would start a dairy free Hot chocolate and almond nog (like eggnog) company. I would because I am allergic to dairy and egg so I don't get hot chocolate or eggnog as much. The only hot chocolate and eggnog I can have are dairy and egg free. I want other kids with my allergy to be able to have eggnog or hot chocolate. I would charge $5.00 for a small, $6.00 for a medium, and $7.00 for a large. I would put dairy, egg, and nut free desserts in it too, like cake, cupcakes or donuts because they are hot desserts. I would charge $6.50.
I would want to build it in a place where winter activities are held so people can stop by when they are cold. This is why I would start a dairy free Hot chocolate and almond nog company.
