NEWSDEPTH QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Be creative and send us your News Cat inspired art for our special News Cat Art Gallery.
Rodalynn, Hillsdale Elementary: I was very interested in the art. I loved the one with the rainbow tiles on the sidewalk. I thought it was so cool! My cousin, she is twelve years old; and she’s the best drawer I’ve ever seen! She is very good at drawing horses. That one art design had vegetables and some were falling. That was hilarious! If I walked under it I would feel like they would fall on me and I would get piled on by vegetables! I really liked the art.
Bobby, Sherwood Elementary: Here is a poem I wrote for NewsDepth.
Oh NewsDepth, with wonderful news,
I wonder how many views
you get in a day
a month
a year
The way you say makes it crystal clear,
The day I play the news on TV,
so many news channels, one two three,
none are as good as the NewsDepth I see.
News Cat,
News Cat,
reaching for a muskrat
chasing at a molerat,
News Cat,
News Cat,
racing from a cold bath,
don't worry about the aftermath,
News Cat, News Cat.
Maia, Maryland Elementary: I love your show! One of my favorite parts of this week’s show was the casino decorated for the holidays. I have always loved decorating and have thought about becoming an interior designer when I'm older. The decorations they used was beautiful and I liked how they tried to decorate the casino the way the old building had looked. My family and I watch "The Christmas Story" every year for the holidays, and I thought it was amazing that some of the scenes were built there.
