BioBlitz counts species in Cuyahoga Valley National Park

THERE ARE MANY KINDS LAND IN THIS COUNTRY THAT ARE PROTECTED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT – ONE EXAMPLE IS OUR NATIONAL PARKS.

THESE LANDS ARE SO PRICELESS BECAUSE THEY’RE USUALLY HEALTH ENVIRONMENTS WITH A LOT OF BIODIVERSITY. BIODIVERSITY IS THE VARIETY OF LIFE IN A PARTICULAR HABITAT OR ECOSYSTEM.

JUST SOUTH OF HERE, THE CUYAHOGA VALLEY NATIONAL PARK COMPRISES MORE THAN 30 THOUSAND ACRES OF NATURAL HABITATS TEEMING WITH LIFE -- BUT EXACTLY WHAT KIND OF SPECIES THE PARK CONTAINS -- AND HOW MANY -- WAS A MYSTERY...UNTIL LAST SUMMER WHEN THE PARK PARTICIPATED IN A SPECIAL NATIONAL EVENT.
