March is women's history month... And together, first lady Michelle Obama and second lady Jill Biden took a moment to celebrate women -- by honoring female veterans.
Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden launched a "Joining Forces" initiative in 2011. The initiative called on Americans to support service members, veterans and their families -- with wellness, education and employment opportunities. At the annual women's history month reception in Washington D.C., Biden pointed the spotlight on female air force pilots.
In her speech, Mrs. Obama said there's plenty of progress for female veterans to celebrate, but they still face challenges as they serve and then transition back to civilian life.
