A scientific breakthrough is being hailed as one of the biggest discoveries of the decade.
Scientists announced they have heard and recorded the sound of two black holes colliding, the first direct evidence of gravitational waves. A black hole is kind of like a vacuum, but instead of using suction a black hole instead uses gravity to pull things towards it. They're invisible, and the pull is so strong in black holes, no matter can get out.
Physicists have been working for a century to prove the existence of gravity waves. They were first predicted by Albert Einstein in research published almost exactly 100 years ago.
