It may be the year of the monkey on the Chinese calendar, but it just might be the year of the eagle in another part of the world.
Take a look at this. Police in the Netherlands are testing eagles that target unmanned drones that some people consider a nuisance. The birds would help by taking down the aircraft, which they would be trained to consider as prey.
The bald eagles have been trained to swoop in and neatly dispose of any unwanted electronic interlopers. The Dutch company that came up with the idea calls them a "low tech solution for a high tech problem."
