Imagine now, a computer smaller than a dollar bill... and priced at five bucks!
You're looking at the Raspberry Pi Zero, the newest version of a British non-profit's tiny, low-cost computer. The new version was released on Thanksgiving and sold out in less than a day.
Since 2012, the Raspberry Pi company has worked on providing small, inexpensive computer boards.
Their goal is to make computers available to everyone, especially students in developing countries.
While the Pi Zero is tiny and cheap, it does require some extra parts to be of use, like a power source, display, and input, such as a keyboard. Raspberry Pi says this tiny model is intended to help people learn to build and program computers in an affordable way.
