Debate demands, rules and more.... candidates hoping for a white house run in 2016 have some specific requests!
Last week we told you about the Democratic debate and how voters are paying attention to both republican and democratic debates to try and decide who they want to face off during the presidential election next year.
Two candidates in the Republican presidential race threatened to boycott their next debate. Donald Trump and Ben Carson sent a letter to the television network, CNBC, threatening to pull out of its primary debate. The candidates said they would not participate in the debate if it was longer than two hours including commercials.
They also want the opportunity for opening and closing statements. The last GOP debate, which aired on CNN, lasted three hours and left many candidates visibly exhausted.
CNBC did agree to limit its October 28th debate to two hours. They're also giving each candidate 30 seconds for opening and closing statements. And earlier this week, both Trump and Carson requested secret service protection from the Department of Homeland Security.
