In Spain, protests take on a futuristic feel, with the help of holograms.
A hologram is a three dimensional picture, made by a complex pattern of light.
Holograms of protesters were projected outside a parliament building in Madrid, as thousands of people complain about a new law that they say puts heavy restrictions on freedom of expression. But none of them were actually there.
The images were used because the Citizen Safety Law forbids Spanish citizens from protesting outside government buildings. People around the world were encouraged to submit video that would be converted into holograms for the march.
Organizers called the hologram protest 'the first of its kind', anywhere in the world.
