Understanding Israeli Elections

It's election time in the country of Israel. On Tuesday, voters went to the polls in what turned out to be a very close race.

Israel has a parliamentary government. Unlike in a democracy, like here in the U.S., Israeli citizens vote for a particular political party, rather than one candidate.

A party might win the most seats, but that does not mean it will form a government.

Oren Liebermann breaks down the complicated Israeli election system to help us understand how it works.
