Imagine running 26 miles in a race.
That's what marathoners do, and Sunday in Texas, one racer was determined to finish. Hyvon Ngetich of Kenya was about to win the race when her body gave out... and she collapsed.
But she refused help, which would have disqualified her, and crawled the final 50 meters to cross the finish line! Crowds cheered her on as she stopped to catch her breath, then went on again, crossing the line on her hands and knees.
She earned third place in the women's division, and the race sponsors were so impressed with her effort, they gave her extra prize money for her determination.
