Two Athletes Become Unlikely Stars of Super Bowl Sunday

We told you about the so called 'Ad Bowl', but what about what happened on the field during Super Bowl Sunday? The Patriots beat the Seahawks 28-24, and quarterback Tom Brady was named Super Bowl 49 MVP.

But two other players made huge plays for their teams...and their road to success is a bit different than you might think..

Seahawks wide receiver Chris Matthews entered the game without a single catch during the season. He surprised many people watching on Sunday with some truly amazing catches and a touchdown! Matthews was never drafted and was working at a foot locker store before he got a tryout with Seattle.

And we can't forget about the play of the game. Patriots safety Malcolm Butler intercepted a goal line pass by Russell Wilson in the final seconds of the game to seal a victory for the Pats. Butler also went undrafted. He started his football career playing for a community college in Alabama. As one of the heroes of the game, Butler was rewarded with a trip to Disneyland, with Kent State alum Julian Edelman, who caught the winning touchdown!
