Good Samaritans Donate to Detroit Man Who Walks 21 Miles to Work Each Day

How long does it take you to get to school or to work? So then imagine commuting six hours... every day!

One Michigan man does that to get to work, going 21 miles from his house in Detroit, to his factory job in the suburbs. James Robertson starts with a bus ride, then he walks seven miles... each way! It takes about two and a half hours, and he has been doing this for 27 years, since an old car quit working.

When Robertson's neighbors learned of his dedication to that job, they started an online effort to raise money for a new car. The goal was $25,000, but as of late Monday more than $112,000 had been pledged for James' new ride!

Update - As of Thursday morning, the online page set up for James has reached nearly $300,000 in donations.
