It is one of the most important documents in western history. The Magna Carta, first penned in a field outside London in 1215, laid the foundation for modern democracies. It spelled out the rights of individuals, set standards for justice, and ultimately inspired the United States Constitution.
But the four surviving original copies of the Magna Carta have been strewn across England. Now, eight centuries after its creation, those last surviving original copies are going on display - together.
